The volunteer group The Friends of the Madera Animal Shelter will host March Adoption Days beginning March 9 at the Roberta Wills Adoption Center, 14269 Road 28.
The nearby construction dust has settled, the new parking lot is paved, and volunteers are eager to reintroduce the public to all the great dogs and cats on display for adoption, said Kirsten Gross, director of Madera County Animal Services.
The adoption center will be open from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. each Saturday. Volunteers will be available to give tours of the adoption facility and show dogs and cats to prospective adopters. An animal-themed raffle prize will be awarded to one visitor each Saturday. Light refreshments will be served.
