FRESNO (AP) — The owner of a Central California wild animal park where a lion killed an intern says he feels vindicated after federal officials found no problems with its enclosures or employee training program.

Cat Haven owner Dale Anderson said Wednesday that he was gratified by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s findings. The agency said a day earlier its investigation found there were no violations of the Animal Welfare Act at the private zoo near Fresno. Additionally, it said Cat Haven’s enclosures and its procedures for cleaning enclosures and feeding the animals were all proper.
