A Madera woman is still in the hospital after suffering serious head and neck injuries in a crash on State Route 41 more than a week ago.
On Jan. 14, firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free Hannah Cunnings, 35, from her Mercedes after she ran a red light at Road 200 and crashed into a Hyundai Elantra heading north on SR 41.
California Highway Patrol Officer Scott Gentry said alcohol was not a factor in the crash but an investigation is ongoing.
