Agents find drug trafficking operation near Raymond

The Madera County Narcotic Enforcement Team uncovered a drug trafficking organization operative after several months investigating an illegal marijuana grow site in Bailey Flats near Raymond.

Agents served a search warrant at an undisclosed location in Merced County early Monday, where they arrested 39- year-old Miguel Moreno Soto of Michoacan, Mexico.

There were several residences on the property where agents seized two firearms and recovered 348 marijuana plants being grown behind medical marijuana sites, Madera County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Erica Stuart said.

Inside Soto’s home, agents found 12 pounds of processed marijuana that originated from the Bailey Flats grow, Stuart said...
