A sixth business — this time in Oakhurst — has reported falling victim to a Squaw Valley woman wanted for passing a series of bad checks, the Madera County Sheriff’s Department reported Monday.
The suspect, 53-year-old Leslie Stevens, is the same woman wanted for writing checks on a closed account to a number of businesses, and not just in Madera County.
According to reports, Stevens is suspected of ripping off three stores in Fresno County — one in Reedley, another in Orange Cove, and a third in Kingsburg.
