6 arrested in prostitution raids

A suspected prostitution ring out of a Madera home, believed to have been in operation since August of last year, was brought to a halt earlier this week as the Madera Police Department served warrants on three Central Valley homes and made six arrests.

Madera residents Wilson Molina, 24, and Primitivo Santos, 46, were arrested just after 11 a.m. Thursday along with Fresno residents Fernando Revis, 31, and Kina Romero, 39, on suspicion of pimping and conspiracy to commit a crime.

Two other women — Claudia Azucena, 40, and Edith Luis-Sanchez, 22 — were arrested on suspicion of prostitution.

Community Response Unit Sgt. Matt Wiles, who took part in the raids, said the prostitution ring wasn’t gang related but was the second such ring to be broken up in Madera in the last nine months...
