Fashion Club holds prom for Special Education
The cafeteria of Madera High School turned into a dance floor and the stage bore a DJ setup as more than 50 masqueraded students from throughout Madera County danced.
Parents and teachers looked on as the special education students grinned more brightly than the green, red, yellow and orange masks they wore in the Masquerade Ball themed Special Education prom Friday.
Put on by the school’s Fashion Club, the annual prom aims to integrate students who would otherwise be left out, organizers said.
