Three Madera Unified students went missing Halloween evening and police believe their biological mother, without custody rights to them due to her history of criminal drug abuse, is behind their disappearance.

The trio, two sisters and their brother, were reported missing Thursday afternoon, Madera Police Department (MPD) Detective Sgt. Robert Salas said.

The three were last seen at Lincoln Elementary School around 2:40 p.m.

Police identified the children as Jessica Sanchez-Deanda, 6, Alfredo Sanchez-Deanda, 9, and Teresa Sanchez-Deanda, 10...
