3 arrested in Chowchilla shooting

Three suspects, two of them minors, were arrested Monday in connection to a pre-dawn shooting east of Greenhills Estates in Chowchilla, Madera County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Erica Stuart said.

Jaleel Johnson, 19, of San Rafael was arrested with a 17-year-old and 14-year-old in the shooting, Stuart said.

All three face attempted murder and robbery charges following the shooting which occurred between 4 and 4:30 a.m. Monday at Avenue 26 and Road 19.

At that time, Stuart said the three suspects had allegedly set up a deal to purchase marijuana from a Fresno “supplier” through online classifieds website Craigslist...
