Timothy K. Fitzgerald, an author, philosopher and economist, is seeking a seat in the Assembly from the 5th District. He has been a community activist for more than 30 years.

Fitzgerald, an Eagle Scout, graduated from Los Gatos Union High School in San Jose in 1963. He spent eight years at San Jose State, becoming a campus spokesperson and student leader before graduating in 1971. He majored in engineering, business and economics.

Fitzgerald returned to San Jose State in 1977 and earned a second bachelor’s degree, this time in American history. He is presently completing a third master’s degree in philosophy.

Since 1998, Fitzgerald has been a real estate investor and has been under contract with Strategic Book Publishing to write his memoirs as a civic leader, including his 15 years as state leader of the Green Party of California. This has resulted in the trilogy, “Wawona Brotherhood, A Diamond in the Rough,” and the just released “Pursuit of the Dragon.” ...
