Dr. Loraine Goodwin is unique among all of the candidates who are on the ballot for the June primary election. She is running for two offices — the non-partisan Board of Supervisors and as a Democrat in the 16th Congressional District.
Goodwin is unique in another way. She is both a medical doctor and an attorney. She graduated from the University of California Medical School at San Francisco in 1983. She is also a graduate of the San Joaquin College of Law in Clovis with a Juris Doctorate.
Goodwin’s medical practice has centered on women’s health, mental health and preventive medicine.
Her legal practice has been in the area of mediation and arbitration dealing with California Central Air Board hearings, medical malpractice issues, hospital disputes, labor law, bank mortgage and insurance disputes. She is a member of the National Association of Administrative Law Judges...

Careful, Bill
She's not an attorney. And she's gotten in trouble in the past for calling heself an attorney. You have to pass the state bar in order to be called an attorney and you can't hold yourself out as a practicing lawyer eithe if you don't pass the bar. It's against the law. Check it out, Bill.
