Joseph A. Soldani is seeking a full term as Madera County Superior Court Judge, Office One. He was appointed to the bench in 2010, by then Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger at the death of Judge Edward P. Moffat.

A native of Fresno, Soldani earned an associate’s degree from Fresno City College, a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fresno, and a Juris Doctorate degree from Humphreys College School of Law.

After working his way through law school, Soldani was chosen as a law clerk by the late M.D. Crocker, federal judge in the U.S. District Court, a position he held from 1980 to 1981. From there he moved to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office as a deputy district attorney, where he served until 1985. Soldani was assistant district attorney from 1985 to 1988.

In 1988, Soldani left the DA’s office and became a deputy city attorney for the Fresno City Attorney’s office, and in 1993 moved to the Madera City Attorney’s office as city attorney...
