Jack Uppal says he is running for Congress in California’s 4th Congressional District because he is outraged that middle class families have been forced to bear the burdens of the last decade of governmental mismanagement. He says it is time to eliminate the present, self-serving Congress and elect one that serves the people.

Uppal is a native of India who, on his 18th birthday, became a naturalized citizen of the United States. Having arrived not speaking English, within a year Uppal was fluent in the language of his new home.

With firmly established educational goals, Uppal began the pursuit of a Ph.D. in chemistry, which he earned from M.I.T. in 1980. This led him into a successful career in the semiconductor industry, where he worked as an engineer and project manager.

Over his professional career, Uppal has developed new products, helped new businesses launch their technology and implemented annual budgets of more than a billion dollars...
