At an age when most teenagers are more concerned about their high score on “Call of Duty” or their friends’ latest Facebook posts, Madera’s Josue Banda is focusing on his own business and its upcoming grand opening.
Banda, 19, a 2009 graduate of Madera South High School, became owner of Madera Mile High Karate six months ago and made a childhood dream come true before reaching his 20th birthday.
“When I was little I decided I wanted to open a karate school when I was bigger, when I got older,” Banda said. “I just didn’t know it was going to be this soon, when I’m this young.”
