15-year-old Madera girl in talent show final

In July she stole the show. Now, 15-year-old Rachel Lumactod is trying to steal the show on a much bigger stage.

The Madera girl was the highlight of the Bobby Sox Tournament of Champions Opening Ceremonies in late July with her rendition of Ariana Grande’s “The Way.” Now, with her version of “Listen” by Beyoncé Knowles, Lumactod is in the running for KSEE-24’s Central Valley’s Top Talent competition.

“It’s been a great experience,” Lumactod, a junior at San Joaquin Memorial-Fresno, said. “I want to thank my mom for telling me about the contest.”

Lumactod is currently in second place in Central Valley’s Top Talent out of six singers. People can vote for her and see her finale performance at
