Since he made it into the top-10 round of finalists on nationally-televised reality show “The Voice” last year, Visalia native Rudy Parris has had a lot more offers to showcase his art.
“That was the big break,” Parris said. “I’ve been traveling all over the country as a result of that and I’m really grateful for it.”
Parris, 47, will bring his multitude of musical talents — he plays guitar, harmonica, bass, drums, and sings — to outdoor Madera concert venue ApCal, 32749 Avenue 7, on Saturday night in his final Valley show for at least a few months.
“I won’t be playing in the Valley for the rest of the summer,” Parris said. “Let’s just say it’s your last chance to see me for a while … I don’t want to sound arrogant or anything, I’m grateful for everything I have, but there are big things going on. So I won’t be playing here for some time.” ...
