Rash of blazes has Yosemite Lakes Park residents worried

At least 13 suspicious vegetation fires plagued the Yosemite Lakes Park area over the weekend.

Residents are nervous and on the lookout for potential arsonists, a CalFire official says.

The rural subdivision is in an area of mountainous terrain surrounded by woods, open dry grassland and tall vegetation.

CalFire spokeswoman Karen Guillemin said all of the small brushfires have occurred inside the YLP subdivision over the last few days, with only one or two attributable to power lines or vehicle traffic...
