‘The Tragedy of Julius Caesar’ today

The words of one of William Shakespeare’s most famous plays will come alive at the Madera County Library as professional actors put on “The Tragedy of Julius Caesar” today. Residents will then be invited to learn how to act and put the play on themselves in the coming months.

Performers will present 55-minute versions of the play starting at noon in the Chowchilla branch library, 300 Kings Ave., and at 3:30 p.m. at the Madera County Library headquarters, 121 N. G St.

An interactive workshop will follow the 3:30 play in the Blanche Galloway Room of the Madera County Library headquarters.

The events are part of Shakespeare on Tour, a traveling theatrical troupe. The group is part of the San Francisco Film Festival, an arts organization whose purpose is to make theater and performing arts education accessible to low income communities...
