Fresh off their newest CD release, the Stardust Cowboys will bring their brand of western and cowboy music to this Sunday's Concert in the Park. The concert begins at 7 p.m. at the Lions Town and Country Park amphitheater.
The band's CD titled "The Honky Tonk Cowboy & The Desert Flower" features original songs, a bluegrass standard and old gospel. The band plays a blend of Western Swing, Rockabilly, and cowboy songs of the Old West.
The Stardust Cowboys have been performing around the country and Canada for 20 years and have opened concerts for many top country and western performers including Charlie Daniels and Lynn Anderson.
The concerts are a collaboration of the Madera County Arts Council and the Madera Parks and Community Services Department. Local businesses, service clubs and individuals sponsor the summer performances.
