Traffic stop leads to firearms arrest
Madera Police Department Officer Tyler Collins conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of W 6th Street and contacted Sergio Montes. During the investigation on May 27, Montes was in possession of a stolen firearm and methamphetamine. He is currently on probation for similar offenses, and is also a documented gang member. Montes was booked into the Madera County Jail on multiple weapon and drug-related charges.

For The Madera Tribune Alview Dairyland 4-H’s Zane Mielke winning Reserve Best of Show in Poultry at the Chowchilla-Madera Fair.
