Shoppers flock to grand opening
The grand opening of Madera’s newest discount department store drew hundreds of early birds to line up around the building long before the ribbon was cut on Thursday.
City and county officials, as well as staff from the Madera District Chamber of Commerce, gathered before the front doors of Marshalls along with store employees for a ceremony.
Marshalls presented two large checks for $2,500 each to members of the Madera County Child Abuse Prevention Council and the Madera Leo Club.

I believe the two groups that recieved donations should have been talked about more. They are doing so much for Madera yet no one discusses them.
