McPherson will be great principal Millview Elementary is fortunate to have Stephanie McPherson as its principal. I urge those who expressed disappointment and opposition to her selection to give Mrs. McPherson an opportunity to show you the excellent things she can do for your school.

Mrs. McPherson was my English Language Development coach for the Language Star program in the 2008-2009 school year. I came to have the highest regard for her based on her dedication, professionalism and competence.

I applaud Superintendent Balderas’ selection of Mrs. McPherson as the new principal for Millview Elementary.

Mrs. McPherson is a fast learner. As for Millview parents not being a part of the selection process, I believe The Madera Tribune has factually reported events as they transpired and I do not fault MUSD in this matter.

Further, I commend Trustee Maria Velarde-Garcia for “vigorously denying” what someone said against Mrs. McPherson. Mrs. McPherson possesses those qualities you dream about an administrator having. Furthermore, Mrs. McPherson does speak some Spanish and I am sure she has set a personal goal to improve it.

Let us remember that when we have goodwill in our hearts, more than anything else, that facilitates good communication. In communication, I have found that what I see in someone’s eyes and what I hear in their tone of voice is more important than the words that are expressed. I was blessed to be able to work with Mrs. McPherson for one year. I am a better person for it.

I wish the Millview School community the best.

I never heard any parent from Millview attacking or offending Mrs Mcpherson. What was clear to me it's that they finally had a
system that worked for Millview at every single level, that included; staff, teachers, students and parents. What i'd seen in the past was a
terrible administration it was
until our former viceprincipal that MIllview had leadership and guidance, if MUSD felt that they
needed to do something why didn't they fix it before, we finally had someone so capable. People at Millview clarify to everyone that we have bogong personal against Mrs. Mcpherson. They felt they could express that their needs were finally met by an administrator that had work very hard there in Millview, and were given the opportunity to express themselves. Not that they are friends with that administrator or any of that, they weren't doing that for the administrator, but for the kids and the wellbeing of the community. Who knows now if the system works after all the adjustments the kids have to go through AGAIN because you may not know, but those kids had gone through 12 administrators in less than 10 years. So as I was saying it's not for the administrators or teachers that parents are standing for, but for the system that can actually contribute to the kids's success.
