Native Maderan John Rieping studied journalism for four years at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, earned a philosophy degree at Mt. Angel Seminary at St. Benedict, Oregon, and spent 4 1/2 years trying to discern God's plan for his life at the Benedictine monastery of Mount Angel Abbey. i was working in a co. in fremont ca.i put this callender on my work desk it was the ending month of nov so i fliped the page for the month of dec circleed the date dec.12 my moms b day that after noon i notice this blur showing up,didnt think nothing of it thaught it was just a smudg it was my last break went out to smoke a ciggerate came back from break i took a look at the callender and there she was bright and clear the virgin of the guadelupe.all the seneritas that worked around me pushed me off my work table started to put up rosary beeds, roses the news repoters came and eveything pretty scary i think.part two to this story 17teen years later me and my wife wemt to some festival on 4th st by a church as we we,re walking there we,re some stands behind us when all of a sudden this lil nice lady aproached me and said i had a vission which scared the crap out of me no joke didnt know what she was talking about then my wife mentioned about what i seen along time ago the morral of this comment is what dose it meen oh yea did i mention my moms name is guadelupe and her bday is dec.12.
