Teens charged with murder in shooting

Two Madera teenagers have been charged with murder as adults in the shooting of 16-year-old Jesus (Jesse) Espinoza of Madera, the county DA said Monday.

Espinoza was shot Wednesday afternoon on Madera Avenue outside Carl’s Jr. restaurant. The shooting was gang related, according to police.

Madera County District Attorney Michael Keitz said due to the nature of the crime, Jose Alonzo Vega and Nicolas Salazar, both 15 and of Madera, were charged with first degree murder as adults, and the teens are potentially facing life in prison.

Keitz said he hoped the significance of the charges would send a strong message to other local gang members...

Ha they gonna be somebody's new b**** in prison cuz they gonna go straight from the juvenile when they turn 18. Jesse was the home boy jus took a wrong turn in life and I doubt it's gonna send a message to anyone and pretty shore all the Norte homies are pissed..

Murder is murder regardless of how or why why it happened and it's wrong to wish death upon anyone. Regardless of what they did, they don't deserve to be murdered, either! Jose was the homie. I grew up with that cat.. I honestly never expected him to do this shit. He was a chill ass niggah!! He's still the homie though but, damn! I didn't expect this.

I feel no sympathy for the teen. I believe he was a gangster trying to be hard and someone gave him a reality check! He chose to live that life and now it's gone. Teens only think of the present and not their future!My MSG is stay in school, get a degree and make that money. This gangster shit is only stupidity.
