In November 2011, John Kouretas came to the restaurant as the new head chef and manager. His experience and background brought a new approach to the club.

Before coming to Madera, the Greece native owned his own restaurant in Hollister for 25 years. The cuisine had an American and French flair which gave diners a taste of his creativity.

You might want to check your archives before writing a story (aka advertisement) like this. You ran an Article title "Clubhouse manager provides top of the line food for members" about Jason Church ( the former manager) and the employees who worked very hard to make the guests happy on all levels, from clubhouse food to Weddings. There over 30 thank you notes from happy patrons from all aspects. I'm sure John is an amazing Chef, a great person and a hard worker. However, he is not the manager, he was contracted by the Country Club after they laid off a group of very hard working people due to financial reasons. This group I am referring to provided "quality food" with a "full menu" and would bend over backwards to help people in anyway they could. Please don't lose track that you are a NEWS paper and have a responsibility to report facts. Thanks so much for your time. Best of luck to the Country Club :)
