Working parents have options for spring break
While Spring Break gives students a chance to relax and recharge, the week off from school puts some working parents in a difficult position — find childcare or leave kids home alone.
Students in Madera Unified and Golden Valley Unified School Districts won’t return to school until April 10.
In California, there is no law saying how old a child must be to stay home alone, but the Madera County Social Service Department recommends not leaving kids anywhere — even at home — without adult supervision.
