There was a time in my life when a mountain had to be moved and it was not done through the way I was thinking but with heavy equipment and a skilled crew of men on the equipment.

I worked 26 years for a general contractor back east who was a big part of building the interstate highway system. The company prepared bids for the sections the state and federal government put up for bid. The expertise of the engineers the company employed, enabled the company to be awarded the contracts for that section of the interstate system.

Yes, we did move mountains and fill the valleys to make a level roadway, which is used and enjoyed to this day. I was a mechanic on the equipment and had to keep the wheels and tracks turning to meet the finish time of the project...
