It was so gratifying to see a short clip at the end of Diane Sawyer’s newscast a couple of days ago. It was about a 6-year-old boy, who was a great fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team who was invited to suit up for a game with the team. He had been diagnosed with a brain tumor and was undergoing treatment.

The team called a play for this little boy to receive the ball and the whole team, including the host team, ran with him to the goal line to score the touchdown. All the viewers who witnessed this event had to be overwhelmed with compassion because it exhibited an act of unconditional love.

The compassion for all life on this planet is starting to be recognized by different groups that are trying to make a difference by recognizing the dangers threatening different species of life. These groups are putting together programs to raise the awareness of the need to help endangered species survive, including humans...
