Students learn lesson from Every 15 Minutes program

Last week, the program Every 15 Minutes was at Madera High to show seniors the potential dangerous consequences of drinking and driving and texting while driving.

More than 500 students witnessed what it was like to be involved in a car accident and the events that follow. This program came to a close with an assembly in the Joe Flores Gym on Friday. Thank you to all of the agencies in Madera that supported this event.

Scholarship awards night

Congratulations to all of Madera High’s scholarship recipients! On Monday, those who received a scholarship were awarded for their achievements in the cafeteria. More than $267,650 was awarded to the class of 2012. We are so proud of our Coyote scholars!

CST testing continues

On Tuesday students in grades 10 and 11 took the social science and grades 9-11 took the science CST. All students attended periods 1 and 2. Today, sophomores will take the life science CST from 7:55 a.m. to 11:05 a.m. All students will attend periods 3, 4, 6, and 7...
