Liberty High School opened its gates and welcomed back students with a bang Aug. 23. Associated Student Body Leadership students threw their annual first day of school running rally, where they brought the rally to the students. This included dressing in green and gold, running through classrooms and announcing upcoming events.
“The running rally was energizing and really got you ready for what’s to come during the school year,” said freshman Camryn Gonzales. “I thought it was fun!”
After signing B95’s anti-bullying pledge, Liberty students competed in the radio station’s “Cha-Cha Slide” contest, and now hold the record for the most students doing the dance at one time.
“They only needed three more people and I was right there,” said sophomore Cody McNaught. “I was stoked because we were so close to 100.” After the song ended, there were 103 students who helped LHS earn the title...
