On Tuesday, various club members from Key Club, HOSA, Yearbook, Sophomore Class, History Club and Stallion to Stallion Tutoring traveled to the Madera Ronald McDonald House along with our activities director. These clubs raised money and gathered gifts to give to the families that are staying at the house.
Madera South High School paired up with Action for Austin, which is a foundation started by Austin Kallenberger’s parents. They had spent months in a Los Angeles hospital with their son, Austin, who was being treated in the neonatal intensive care unit. Austin’s life was cut short and he unfortunately lost his battle, but his parents wanted to carry out his memory and give hope to the thousands of families that spend holidays at the hospital.
Action for Austin delivers infant caps, gifts, goodies and messages of hope to hospitals in the Central Valley during Halloween, Christmas and Easter. Tomorrow is our annual Stallion Spook Fest at the Madera South East Gym for Alpha Elementary School kindergartners, first and second graders. Various clubs are going to have booths with easy, fun-filled activities for the kids to do. Afterwards they will receive candy, treat or gift from each of the different booths...
