This week many Stallions woke up much earlier than normal to help raise money for the Madera children’s hospital in our annual Kid’s Day fundraiser. We had the following clubs involved: Health Occupation Students of America, Future Farmers of America, Future Business Leaders of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Leadership, Associated Student Body, Link Crew, Block S, Friday Night Live and our Madera South High School band.

We were able to raise more than $1,700 for Children’s Hospital Central Calfornia. Thank you to all of the students and teachers who helped sell papers. Also we want to thank an unknown Walmart associate who donated $150 on behalf of Walmart.

Midweek during lunch, our guitar club students once again treated both students and staff to a wonderful concert in the cafeteria. This is a weekly concert and provides a great lunch atmosphere to have music playing in the background.

Also this week is Read Across America in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Leadership students are bringing awareness to Alpha Elementary School kids and have prepared skits based upon the popular children’s stories that they will share them with. Students will also be reminded of the importance of reading as well as receive a fun bookmark...
