A special thank you to those advisers that woke up at the crack of dawn and encouraged their kids to help be part of an amazing fundraiser for our local Children’s Hospital.

Advisers included Randy Durbin, Science Club; Mark Lohuis, Block S; Sheila Kincade, Art Club; Anastasia O’Neill, Health Occupations Students of America; Davene Munoz, Future Business Leaders of America; Valerie Cantu, Achievement Via Individual Determination; and Julie Larrivee, leadership.

We had many enthusiastic students to sell 1,200 papers and were able to raise more than $2,300. Wow, that is phenomenal! We truly appreciate the efforts of these students and all advisers who take their role beyond the classroom and impact our students!

Ready, set, dodge!

The annual dodgeball tournament has arrived once again! This year we’ve had a successful turnout of 20 boys teams and two girls teams. Tournaments started Tuesday and the next two tournaments during lunch will determine the winning teams that will compete against Madera High’s winning teams at the dodgeball championship at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the MHS gym. Be there to support our undefeated Stallions! ...
