I enjoy the evening news with Diane Sawyer because, at the closing of her newscast, she always has an interesting story of some person — or what her staff has chosen as the person of the week.
A couple of nights ago she had a story of a young high school girl who was elected by the students to be the homecoming queen. The girl was very popular with all the students in the school because of her attitude toward them and the beautiful smile she had for everyone she met. It may seem unusual to most people because the young girl had Down syndrome. I thought it was the greatest example of expressing unconditional love by all the students who were eligible to vote for her.
All the students who were interviewed reflected about how loving she was toward all people and how she always had a happy face...
