Here we are, the fun of September’s fair and Old Timers Day over, on the cusp of the holiday season. During the past couple of months our service clubs have been extremely busy putting on parades, serving at their fair booths, fundraising for the first Honor Flight by Madera’s World War II veterans and many other functions.
However, lest this meager scribe forgets and it’s hardly ever mentioned, the little things these clubs do. From student of the month, boy of the month, and other small but appreciated efforts their work goes on.
Just this past Sunday the Kiwanis Club of Madera served lunch at the Ronald McDonald House, and this weekend the Breakfast Lions and other clubs will help out at the robotics competition at Madera High School — great effort by great members of great clubs.
