By Marissa Torres of Madera High School

With the 2013-2014 school year off to a start, it is time to celebrate the new year with the annual Stoplight Back to School Dance! Madera High’s Associated Student Body has been working hard to make the first event of the year a success.

We hope to see all of you in the Joe Flores Gym from 8-11 p.m. on Friday. Associated Student Body is selling pre-sale tickets for $2 but do not worry, if you do not purchase a pre-sale ticket, they will be $3 at the door. Freshmen get in for FREE! Also, there will be a taco truck on campus selling tacos for $1. Step in the name of love and do not miss out on this exciting night of tacos, mingling, and dancing.

Classes of 2016 and 2017

Election packets are available in the Activities Office. Pick one up if you are a freshman or a sophomore and are interested in becoming a class officer for the 2013-2014 school year. Become class president, vice-president, secretary, or treasurer to lead your class and help raise funds for future events such as prom and sober grad.

Running for a class office is a great way to get involved with Madera High activities as well as represent your class in a positive way. Election packets are due in the Activities Office no later than 3:30 p.m. on Friday! Late election packets will not be accepted; no exceptions...
