In major college sports, there is always a price to be paid for success, especially in the billion-dollar football corporations. But in the case of Penn State, it was not the players, coaches, administrators or alumni who bore the burden of this steep cost.

No, the cost for two national championships, 37 bowl game wins and more than 800 wins during the Joe Paterno days was paid by 10 boys.

And in the most sickening scandal to ever hit college athletics, former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky was found guilty of 45 counts of sexually assaulting these boys over a period of 15 years. It is said he will be sentenced to 442 years in prison.

But because he is 68, Sandusky’s sentence will likely be closer to 25 years...
