This weekend unofficially, but according to yours truly, marks the beginning of the holiday season. Though the traditional Veterans Day falls on Sunday, thanks to one of the few things that I can remember the government agreeing on, we will observe it on Monday. Come on out to Courthouse Park that morning for a ceremony and salute to our veterans beginning at 11.

I was listening to a very tired (not drunk as some reported) Diane Sawyer on election night and heard evidence of her weariness. To paraphrase the newscaster, when talking about getting out and casting your vote, she said something to the effect that in foreign countries people die for that right.
Excuse me, Diane, but since our own Revolution and through countless wars (actually you CAN count them) our own brave men and women have been dying so that we may have that same freedom and many more.

A freedom he shouldn’t have when it comes to Donald Trump, is speech. His rant after the election was his usual headline grabbing. He called for a “revolution” and claimed the election, even with a great turnout across the country, was a “total sham and a travesty.” NBC (the same network that broadcasts Trump’s show) news anchor Brian Williams said afterward about the rants, “Donald Trump, has driven well past the last exit to relevance and veered into something closer to irresponsible here." ...
