I rolled out of bed yesterday morning. That was easy, though getting up off the floor took some effort. I went for some early vittles (some call it breakfast) at Country Waffles and found myself rattling the locked door at 6:15.

Soon after, pizza guru Bill Dawson showed and we both stood outside wondering what happened. Yours truly and Dawson want to thank cook Armando Martinez for unlocking the door and letting these two “regulars” in. He locked the door behind us, poured us coffee, and cooked and served our order.

Now I’ve had prettier servers, but a big thanks to “Mondo” for giving that little extra in service to start our day off right. Oh, and they didn’t lose any customers. No one else showed that early until the real waitress finally arrived.

The Postal Service has decided to drop its decision to forgo Saturday deliveries. That makes Racer the dog very happy. You see, if he spots the mail truck he lets everyone know that the mail lady (we’ll call her Blondie) is here. He can hardly wait to go see her and grab a piece of mail (ours, not the neighbors’), get a pat on the head from her and race back home to get a treat...
