Time is running out to register your team for the adult spring recreation and coed softball leagues. Space is filling up fast. Team entry fee is $393 for recreation league and $353 for coed league. Call the Parks Office at 661-5495 for more information.

The big “Eggstravaganza” will be held Saturday morning at Lions Town & Country Park. The annual egg hunt will feature more than 10,000 candy and prize-filled eggs, fun, food and, of course, pictures with that special bunny. The egg hunt will begin at 11:30 a.m. Don’t be late. It’s all over in minutes. A big thank you to all the businesses, service clubs and individuals who help make this a great event for kids and families.

The parks department is taking lifeguard applications for the summer swim season. Deadline for applications is Friday. Details and applications are available at the Youth Center, 701 E. 5th St.

Youth basketball concluded Saturday at the John W. Wells Youth Center. Next up for the kids is T-Ball. Registration is complete and staff is busy forming the many teams. Coaches will be notified of their teams and players by next week. The season will begin April 28 at Lions Town & Country Park.
