Senior water aerobics starts Tuesday with classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 to 9:30 a.m. for seniors 62 and over. It is a fun-filled time with water exercises and socialization. A $2 donation is asked from each participant. Come and take a dip in the pool and make new friends.

Registration is continuing for the Summer Kids Camp programs. The camps are one week long and include recreation, arts and crafts, field trips, and more. Cost is $60 for a family’s first child, $55 for the second and $50 for each additional. Junior counselors in grades 7-9 are $50. Register at the John W. Wells Youth Center, Monday through Friday from 8-5. For more information call 661- 5495.

The pool is now open for public swim Monday through Saturday afternoons. There are a few weekend dates still available to rent the entire pool complex for a family party, birthday, church or social event. Lifeguards are on duty and a barbecue area and picnic tables are available with the rental. Call the Parks office to reserve a swim party.

Summer softball registration continues. Team packets with all the information about the leagues are available at the parks office at 701 E. Fifth Street. The department had a record number of teams for the spring leagues so teams are encouraged to get their entry in as soon as possible. Deadline is June 22, with league play beginning after the July 4 holiday. Team entry is $393 for Recreation Leagues and $353 for Coed League...
