Driving in the rain the last couple of days I couldn’t help but notice all the people playing with their phones while driving. One lady in a green minivan had a car full of kids and she was poking at the screen of a smart phone while navigating through traffic, on wet roadways, in the rain. People can be such idiots.

According to Google, the average car weighs 4,000 pounds. Unsafe driving turns that mass into a lethal weapon, yet too many people refuse to devote their undivided attention to the task.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says drivers are 23 times more likely to have an accident if texting while driving. The statistic on highway fatalities due to cell phone use is staggering.

When you’re on the road be courteous to your fellow drivers. It feels good to allow another driver to pull out into traffic when they are stuck in a driveway, needing to make a left-hand turn and there is a huge line of cars waiting at the stoplight. Karma will repay your kindness when someone else extends the same courtesy to you...
