It looks like Pete Carroll was doing a little rummaging through the NFL Dumpster that was to be hauled off to the Arena Football League on Monday.
And on the bottom of the scrap heap, the Seattle Seahawks coach found the tattered remains of a future Hall of Fame receiver — 38-yearold Terrell Owens.
Carroll dusted T.O. off and then had him run a 40. No sooner did he run sub-4.5, than a one-year, $1 million contract was offered. He may be a malcontent and troublemaker, but a 4.5 trumps those issues.
The last thing I heard about T.O. was that he had been told not to let the door hit his butt on the way out. Not by an NFL team, mind you. But by the Indoor Football League's Allen, Texas Wranglers...
