It looks like the magical mystery tour of former Indiana Colts’ quarterback Peyton Manning has more twists and turns than Lombard Street — which is in San Francisco, just for the record.
Manning had visits with the Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals, and a man-crush declaration from Tennessee Titans’ owner Bud Adams that “He’s the man I want. Period.” And Adams proclaimed he wanted Manning as a Titan “for life,” whatever in the world that means.
But the bidding for the four-time MVP and sure-to-be-first-ballot Hall of Famer clearly put the Broncos in a good position to receive the prize in the final rose ceremony.
