Hello to all of the Stallion fans. I am looking forward to sharing all that goes on at Madera South High this year and can’t wait for all of the exciting things that will occur.

I would like to first introduce myself. My name is Svetlana Kochergina and I am currently a senior at Madera South High. One of the things that probably makes me stand out is that I am Russian. Being from a different country can have its ups and downs. First of all you have to learn a new language, become accustomed to a different culture, and of course, make new friends. Yet here I am, nine years later, a senior at Madera South High School.

I am a 17-year-old Russian girl who wants to become a child psychologist. I play volleyball for my church youth group in Kerman and I also write poetry. After being in Leadership for three years, I decided that I wanted to become an Associated Student Body officer. I can honestly say that Leadership has changed me so much, from being an awkward, shy student, to becoming an outgoing, creative individual.

I enjoy reading, writing, and inspiring other people. Here are some strange things that I do when I’m bored: spell random words in my head, clean, and laugh, A LOT. My goal is to graduate from high school and go to California State University, Fresno...
