My greatest dream is to be an NFL GM.

Not in a crazy, criminal Mickey Loomis way mind you, but one who gets to spend months and months digesting every stat, measurable, projection, background, workout, game film and personality of college football players eligible for the draft.

As I am a 49ers fan, GM Trent Baalke’s job is what I aspire to.

I admit to my addiction. I MUST read every draft report that comes out. Every analysis by the cruelly-coifed Mel Kiper and that little whippet Todd McShay, the draft gurus from ESPN, requires my inspection. The new show “Jon Gruden’s Quarterback Camp” gets TiVoed. Endless conversations with friends who are equally as enamored with the draft as I am are my sounding boards...
