If you have a mom who would prefer an at-home gathering with her family as compared to a restaurant brunch, perhaps you might like to consider some refreshing beverages to go along with whatever foods you have planned.

Of course, there’s always the option of treating Mom to both experiences, such as a Mother’s Day brunch at her favorite restaurant and then a great, home-cooked dinner that she doesn’t have to cook.

Beverages are often overlooked when it comes to recipe searching, so I thought I’d look through my files and see what jumps out at me. (The term “jumps” reminds me of the time I opened the door to a microwave cart where cookbooks and booklets are stored, and a small mouse ran out! Luckily, none of my books were damaged and there was no nest or other sign of occupancy. It must have been in there just checking the place out. I caught it and turned it loose outside, but I had to shut my cat in a back bedroom first!)

Back to the subject at hand, which is Mother’s Day beverages, both with and without alcohol. Clink your glasses together on May 13 for a toast to mothers everywhere, especially your own! ...
