Members prepare for County Presentation Day

Howard 4-H members have been extra busy this month practicing, studying and preparing for County Presentation Day and Livestock Expo. On March 10, 12 members participated at Small Animal Expo, where they had to show their knowledge of feeds, breeds and equipment and skill of showmanship to pass different levels of expertise.

The Community Pride group enjoyed selling Kids Day papers early in the morning on March 6. The members sold 150 papers and collected almost $400 for Children’s Hospital!

The Howard 4-H Club monthly meeting was held March 5 and was called to order by club president Kyle Garrison. George Browning, chairman for Family Game Night, gave details on the turnout and happenings of the event. A variety of games were enjoyed by 54 members and guests.

Chairmen Lauren Garrison and Sarah Kyllo reported on the amount of donations the club received to support the Ronald McDonald House. They collected a grand total of 170 items, which included cleaning supplies, food items, household items, and office supplies. The club also purchased Swiffers, laundry baskets and sets of white towels...
