Madera High School will host a blood drive today for the Central California Blood Center in the Joe Flores Gym. This drive is open to all Madera High staff and students who meet the requirements. In order to donate, you must be 17 years of age or 16 with a signed parent’s consents form, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good general health.

Members from the Associated Student Body will be at the blood drive to help students check in and begin the donating process. Students from the ROP athletic training class will also be there to provide water and snacks for students to eat after they donate blood. Thank you to all of the Madera High staff and students who will be donating blood today!

CAHSEE testing

The California High School Exit Exam, more commonly known as the CAHSEE, will be given Tuesday and Wednesday to all sophomores as well as any juniors or seniors who have not met the CAHSEE requirement. All freshmen will be taking a practice CAHSEE exam to help prepare them for the test next year.

It is extremely important that these students get a good night’s rest, eat a well-balanced breakfast, and come to school on time! In order to graduate from Madera High, all students must pass with a score of at least 350 in both English and mathematics. Also, sophomores who pass the CAHSEE with a score of 380 or higher in English and mathematics, will earn off campus lunch privileges for next year...
