Well, Bill Dawson and Staci Martines pulled off yet another Madera Hall of Fame induction ceremony Saturday night. Not that they weren’t exhausted after Friday night’s function recognizing both high school’s model coaches as well as the deserving recipients of the Kenny Taylor Most Inspirational Athlete awards.

Perhaps this is news to most of you. But Dawson and Martines already have jobs that demand a tremendous amount of their time. Dawson, as everyone knows, owns the local Round Table Pizza and Martines works with her husband Paul at Physical Therapy Dynamics.

Yet while neither of them has a child who is in high school, they have nonetheless given tirelessly to the community and high school sports again this year. Hundreds upon hundreds of hours were spent organizing this function, and the dynamic duo came through with a very impressive affair.

They are like Batman and Robin. Taking a stand and working towards a cause despite insurmountable odds for the greater good...
